Hampshire-basedunmannedaerialvehicle(UAV)businessthatusesdronestoaidmethanedetection,Flylogixhasraised£6millionfundingtoflyintonewterritories.TheroundwasledbyAmatiGlobalInvestorsandsawtheparticipationofbpventures.
Thecompanywillusethefreshcapitaltoexpandintonewgeographies,includingtheU.S.,NorwayandTrinidad&Tobago.Itwillalsocrossoverintothebiodiversityandrenewableenergyindustries,conductingwindturbinebladeinspectionsforoffshoresites.
Theunmannedaviationstartup,whichholdstheU.K.recordforthelongestcommercialdroneflight,isworkingtowardsverifyingmethaneemissionssafelytovalidatetheaccuratereportingofemissionsdata.Theground-breakingmethane-detectingdronehelpsindrivingdownemissionswithouttheneedforadditionalpeopleoffshoreandthecostandcarbonemissions.
